Villa Dubrovnik & Habitat Distillery
Behind Orancello stands a unique collaboration between Villa Dubrovnik and Habitat Distillery, a shared vision rooted in authenticity, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the city of Dubrovnik and its surrounding area.
Villa Dubrovnik is proud to support local production and emerging craft industries, celebrating the richness of Dubrovnik not only as a destination, but as a source of inspiration and creation. Through this partnership, the focus extends beyond the final product – embracing the people, and stories that shape it.
As the first and only distillery in Dubrovnik, Habitat approaches distillation in a contemporary way, while remaining closely connected to local ingredients and heritage. Each spirit is crafted with precision and intention, reflecting the landscape from which it originates.
Its first creation, Dubrovnik Gin Expression, is both a product and a visual statement. Its label is adorned with the work of the renowned Dubrovnik painter Josip Pino Trostmann. Much like Orancello, it reflects a dialogue between place, craft, and culture.
Dubravka Tulio
The artwork featured on Orancello is a painting by Dubravka Tullio, a Dubrovnik-based artist whose work moves quietly between illustration, education, and curation. With a background in painting and a long-standing role within the Natural History Museum Dubrovnik, her practice is both thoughtful and precise – rooted in observation, yet never constrained by it.
Tullio’s work does not seek attention; it is designed to remain. In a world drawn to spectacle, she creates with intention – building subtle connections between nature, everyday life, and the spaces we inhabit. Through Orancello, her art becomes part of a larger narrative: one that lingers, much like the liqueur itself.
Zesty yet smooth. Vibrant, yet elegant.
